Peter Isely, Program Director

Peter Isely is a founding member of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) and served as its longtime Midwestern Director. He is also a founding member of Ending Clergy Abuse (ECA), an international network of prominent survivors, activists, and advocates launched in Geneva, Switzerland in April 2018. A clinical psychotherapist, Peter founded and directed the world’s only inpatient treatment program for survivors of clergy abuse. He is the recipient of the Public Service Award of the National Association of Social Workers, the Thomas P. Canon Equal Justice Award of the Legal Aid Society, and the Peter J. Gomes Memorial Alumni Honor of Harvard University.

Sarah Pearson, Deputy Director

Sarah Pearson is a documentary filmmaker and graduate of Harvard Divinity School’s Master of Religion and Public Life program. She directed the documentary film Manufacturing the Clerical Predator: How the Catholic Hierarchy Creates and Maintains a Culture of Abuse. A policy advocate with experience at the state and national levels around public health issues related to sexual violence, she lobbied senators, congress members, and Presidential candidates and trained and strategized with community organizers and students across the United States on policy initiatives. She co-founded and served as President of the Board of a nonprofit women’s advocacy organization in Wisconsin.

Aaron Lindstrom, Project Consultant

Aaron Lindstrom is Nate Lindstrom’s brother and a graduate of Our Lady of Premontre. A creative and entrepreneur, Aaron’s life changed after Nate’s death as he became an activist, leading a campaign to organize alumni of Norbertine schools in De Pere, Wisconsin to challenge church and school officials involved in the enabling of abusive clergy and the cover-up of their crimes. He is the founder of Nate’s Home and Garden, a project designed to memorialize Nate, provide mental health awareness and support, and bring together survivors and their families through the healing power of art and nature.
